A Special
Thank You
to my MAT 122 Calculus 1 Class
May, 8, 1997

On May 8th, 1997, my MAT 122 Calculus 1 class totally surprised me with a little birthday party. In addition to bringing homemade brownies, cake and other goodies, they also borrowed the digital camera.

In addition to being quite surprised, I was also very touched by the effort they went through. It is something that I will never forget. I just like to thank everyone for their effort and thought. Jessica (seated slightly to my right) for making brownies, Monica (on my immediate left) for bringing all the doughnuts, Zarlasht (behind me) for getting the cake
and everyone else that was there that day (the camera sure made it easy for me to take attendance) Kelly, Lisa, Raymond, Peter, Christopher, Eric, Mehrdad, Kysung, Jennifer, Daniel, Linda, Matthew M., Vikas, Matthew P., Albert and Robert.

Israel Gonzalez, a student from my CMP 220 class, also stopped by drop off a cupcake with a lone candle. Here you can see me telling him that all the cupcakes in the world will not exempt him from the final exam.

Although there were a total of seven photographs taken that day, some will NEVER see the light of day.

I want to thank all of you not only for working very hard and trying your best, but making this a very enjoyable class, one I looked forward teaching all semester. I will certainly miss you.

A very heart felt Thank You - R. Glass
